And The Winner of the Touch First Developer Challenge is…

Congratulations to User Interface Design GmbH in Ludwigsberg, Germany! They have won The Challenge and a Microsoft Surface Developer Unit for their application submission: UID Portfolio. The Surface application was selected among 40 entries across six countries.

UID Portfolio is an interactive company presentation which provides an intuitive and innovative way to present a company’s portfolio of services just by touching the elements on the screen. UID delivered an application which introduces new gestures like drawing a circle on the Surface to sort digital content, application design which delivers an optimum 360 degree view for simultaneous multi-user capabilities, innovative use of tagged objects to initiate an action when laid on the Surface and introducing immediate user-guidance and feedback. Runner’s up include: Vertigo (Hard Rock Worldwide Memorabilia) & Infusion Development/Serverside Group Ltd. (Financial Card Designer). The Microsoft Surface Team received over 40 entries across six difference countries representing applications designed for retail, hospitality, automotive, banking and finance as well as innovative new ways to manipulate digital content with the introduction of new gestures.
